Coke Drum Boilovers - Suncor will make a presentation of actual experience of coke drum boilovers and lessons learned.
JERRY CRAFT (WILLIAMS FIRE & HAZARD, INC.) Coker Unit Incident Investigations, Lessons Learned and Fire Protection Design - Jerry Craft from Williams Fire & Hazard, Inc. a Senior Lead Firefighter and Manager of Training and Consulting International will give a presentation on his experiences with fire and hazard incidents on delayed coker units, both in Exxon as well as other oil companies. Jerry has also consulted for several oil companies in regards to fire protection design and applications for the unique structure of coker units.
EXXONMOBIL Coke Drum Fire Water Deluge Design Points & Coker Structure Emergency Access - The presentation will include design experience of coker water fire water deluge systems, coker structure Emergency Access and lessons learned.
BAYSIDE ENGINEERING GROUP, INC. Coker Structure Fire Protection Systems. Fire protection design for cokers and coker structures are being given more emphasis because of recent industry incidents. The presentation will include design concepts and options based on industry experience and input. Bayside Engineering, Group has also developed a model that assists in calculating the water deluge requirements based on location of fire water protection needs to be effective in suppressing a fire should one occur.
VALERO / SIS-TECH Coke Drum Interlocks Management and The Use of LOPA. What does LOPA stand for: ( LAYERS OF PROTECTION ANALYSIS ). The LOPA System is extremely valuable in determining proper SIL Levels of projection for coker drum interlocks and other similar systems. This will be a joint presentation. The first part of the presentation will be given by Valero of implementing coke drum interlocks in conjunction with the use of LOPA. The second part will be given by an individual from Sis-Tech who leads the LOPA sessions and of how the LOPA system works to establish proper SIL levels for various scenarios.
OPERATIONS / PROCESS / MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY
SUNCOR / STESS ENGINEERING SERVICES Assessment of bulging severity in coke drums - experience and lessons learned. The first part will be given by Stress Engineering Services on the basis of their new technique - Bulging Intensity Factor (BIF) - for the assessment of bulging severity in coke drums. Suncor will give the second part of the presentation on their experience with this technique, its correlation with cracking history, and a comparison with other available analysis tools.
EXXONMOBIL Coke Drum PRV Leakage In Both Directions and PPE When Working On Deheading Manual Top or Bottom Heads. ExxonMobil will give a presentation of their experience and first hand knowledge with coke drum PRV leakage in both directions, lessons learned and required PPE with manual top and bottom head systems and lessons learned.
The Phoenix Consulting Firm Coker Unit Reliability - Les Osborne who recently retired from Chevron Pascacoula will give a presentation of his experience and knowledge of providing and maintaining good maintenance and reliability practices and lessons learned.
VALERO Coker Sluiceway Operation and Considerations - The presentation will be made by Valero who has experience and first hand knowledge operating a coker sluiceway, experiences for good number of years and lessons learned.
CB&I Coker Unit Capacity Studies and Reviews - Art Stefani who has many years of process experience and knowledge will review and present coker unit capacity case studies and general results.
VALERO Coker Heater Model - Valero will give a presentation on a new useful coker heater model heater model that they have developed and implemented for improving overall heater performance and extending run lengths, and lessons learned.
